Due to Mexico has signed trade agreements on three continents, Mexico stands as a gateway to a potential market of over one million consumers and 60 per cent of the world GDP.

Mexico has a network of 11 Free Trade Agreements covering 43 countries. Mexico also has 6 Economic Complementation Agreements, has signed Investment Promotion and Protection Agreements (which promote legal protection of capital flows to the productive sector) with 2 countries and has negotiated Double Taxation (DT) treaties (which prevent taxation by two or more countries of the same income, asset or transaction) with more than 31 countries.

The following figure represents Free Trade Agreements signed by Mexico since it joined the GATT. Among the treaties signed by Mexico include the North American Free Trade Agreement, the Free Trade Agreement with the EU and Latin American Integration Agreement (ALADI).
